Next week is National Volunter Week! With all the volunteering that has been going on around the community, we wanted to give a huge shout out to all those that help at the Tiger Food Pantry.
These men and women don’t just show up and serve others on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings during their open hours. You will find many if not all of them at the pantry throughout the week unloading shipments, organizing, and restocking items.
Week in and week out they continue to serve those in need with a friendly smile as they take orders and deliver them to patrons vehicles.
Please help us in recognizing and thanking the following individuals that make the Tiger Food Pantry a huge success.

Vicki Anderson
Laurie McBeth

Biography Research Project ✔️

Each student in Mrs. Davis’ class was randomly assigned a person of influence. The people of influence ranged from civil rights leaders, scientists, athletes, and even more!💡⭐️⚾️🔭✈️💛

It was so fun to see the kids learn about people they didn’t know and new facts about people they had heard of before!

Attention: Those in need of some additional help!
Tomorrow, we will be sending out a group of about 25 students and a few staff to assist in clean-up again. We plan to start at the cemetery helping carry tree debris, rake up the lawn, and pick up other loose debris.

If anyone needs additional we will gladly stop by and assist. In addition, I have been notified by Danville and WMU that they will send a group of kids to help as well, so don't hesitate to ask for any help that you might need. Even if we helped yesterday we are willing to come back again.

Please either respond to this post with your name and address or call the High School office before tomorrow morning at 319-367-0500.

Please share this post so we can continue to help those in need!

What a good community! Thanks to all those helping. I checked my parents' headstone at the cemetery, and although it was under a tree, I think it was intact. Many other headstones were broken. Do you know how those will be addressed?

Sonja Hopson needs help on Oakberry!

Thank you so much. We had kids yesterday who out worked us by a mile and a smaller group coming tomorrow. This has reminded me (unfortunately) that we really are getting old. Lol

This is so heartwarming to see the school and the kids helping ❤️❤️

I'm sure glad that people are able to help, it's awful what has happened if I was able to help I sure would. God Bless All of You for Your Help

Remember there's nails, screws, sharp metal, possible glass and splintered wood. Gloves are advised.

Thank you for finding, retrieving, cleaning, and returning this to the owner. I’m sure they really appreciated it.

Today was all about teamwork and making a positive impact! Our amazing students from grades 6-12 joined forces with teachers and staff to lend a helping hand after the recent tornado. Together, they tackled cleanup duties with determination and a whole lot of heart.

Huge shoutout to our students for stepping up and showing what it means to be part of our tight-knit community. Your efforts don't go unnoticed; you're truly making a difference.

Let's keep that spirit of unity going strong. We're in this together!
